About Utah City
Utah City is a 700-acre master-planned community redefining what modern, human-centered urban living looks like in Utah County. Built on walkability, timeless design, wellness, and social connection, Utah City is where architecture, culture, and community evolve together.
The Role
The Social Media Manager will be a steward of Utah City and Utah City sub-brands digital voice. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and vibe creation—responsible for translating a complex, long-term vision into compelling, cohesive social content across key platforms.
We’re looking for someone who understands placemaking, brand architecture, and how to build anticipation, trust, and community participation.
You will help create content that shapes how Utah City is seen, felt, and understood—by residents, future residents, partners, media, and the broader design-forward audience watching what we’re building.
Responsibilities
Brand & Storytelling
- Own and execute Utah City’s social media voice in alignment with the overall marketing goals and content strategy
- Translate masterplan milestones, openings, construction progress, and community life into thoughtful narratives
- Maintain consistency across tone, pacing, visuals, and messaging for Utah City and Utah City sub-brands
Content Strategy & Creation
- Develop and manage monthly and quarterly content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams, photographers, videographers, designers, and partners to create original content
- Capture and curate on-site content: events, openings, lifestyle moments, behind-the-scenes progress
- Bring the curated Utah City aesthetic to life with an editorial quality
Community & Engagement
- Actively engage with followers, and partners in a timely, thoughtful, and brand-appropriate manner
- Monitor DMs and comments, routing operational questions to the appropriate teams while maintaining brand tone
- Help foster a sense of belonging and pride among residents and early adopters
- Proactively identify, vet, and source potential content creators, and organic brand advocates who align with Utah City’s values and target audience to expand and add to Utah City’s storytelling
Campaigns & Launches
- Support major milestones such as residential openings, retail launches, events, and seasonal programming
- Partner with marketing, PR, and leasing teams to align social content with broader campaigns
Analytics & Optimization – working closely with the marketing operations director
- Track performance metrics and engagement trends across platforms
- Provide monthly insights and recommendations rooted in data and qualitative feedback
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of social media management experience, preferably in lifestyle, real estate, hospitality, design, or placemaking
- Strong editorial instincts
- Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn as storytelling platforms
- Visual literacy: understands composition, architecture, interiors, urban design, and lifestyle aesthetics
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment
- On-site presence required for content capture and community engagement
- Photography and video editing skills with a strong portfolio or social feed examples
- Ability to self-produce polished content
Bonus Points
- Experience with master-planned communities, mixed-use developments, or destination brands
- Background in design, architecture, urbanism, or cultural storytelling
Why Utah City
This is an opportunity to help shape a city’s narrative from the ground up. You’ll have real creative influence, access to meaningful stories, and the chance to be part of a place that adds depth and real intention to how Utah grows and thrives.
