Bella's Market Architecture and Design

A collaboration between grocery architecture firm RDC and interior design/branding Firm, Dyelot Interiors, Bella’s Market, spanning 40,000-square-feet, stands at the heart of Utah City’s emerging downtown, a welcoming, hospitality-driven amenity designed to nurture the growing community.

The architectural expression draws from the region’s heritage and the development’s pedestrian-oriented character, aligning with the project’s identity pillars of harmony, support, and enrichment. Ample glazing, warm materials, and clear signage invite neighbors into a space crafted to feel like a natural extension of the paseo. More than a grocery store, Bella’s Market is a gathering place, a daily ritual, and a symbol of the neighborhood’s shared future.

Bella’s Market welcomes guests with the same generosity and intentionality found in a boutique hospitality experience. The double-height entry, large glazing, and curated lighting gestures introduce the themes of harmony, support, and enrichment from the moment guests arrive.

The Flower Bar Co. is designed as an anchor of hospitality, an uplifting moment of color, freshness, and biophilic warmth that welcomes guests into the Communal Garden zone. This area celebrates everyday rituals, whether grabbing a bouquet for home, hosting, or gifting.

The Butcher Block embodies the “Heritage Hearth” concept, where fresh preparation, craft, and transparency bring the community together. Guests can see expert staff preparing meals in real time, reinforcing a relationship of trust and hospitality. Warm wood tones, textural tilework, and articulated canopies frame these experiences with familiarity and comfort.

At Bella’s Market, even the everyday essentials are elevated through hospitality-minded design. The main aisles were crafted to feel intuitive, bright, and welcoming. Clean sightlines, symmetrical gondolas, and warm material accents create a sense of ease as guests navigate their weekly routines.

Positioned as a wellness complement within our zoning approach, Bella’s Pharmacy is designed to feel accessible, warm, and human-centered. Soft wood tones and simple, refined detailing transform a functional space into a supportive one, reflecting Utah City’s holistic approach to wellbeing.
